Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dam Thi Uyen

Bui Thi Thanh

Thai Nguyen University

Through land cadastral records, land in Lac Son was mainly private land, including private and field land. This phenomenon was quite common in both plains and mountainous areas according to the cadastres of Minh Menh King. The land ownership scale of the communal villages in 1837 was not high and had no wasteland. The quality of land in Lac Son district had three soil types (2nd and 3rd categories). However, mainly 2nd and 3rd land types in a mountainous district occupied a majority like that was understandable. Due to the dominant mountainous terrain, Lac Son ranged no 1st land type.

An Phu Commune - A Place of Engraving Military Events in the First Stage of the Resistance War anti French Colonialism in South Vietnam

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Son Dai

Thu Dau Mot University

An Phu commune is the name of a commune belonging to Hoc Mon district, Gia Dinh province during the resistance war against French colonialism (now Trung An commune, Cu Chi district, Ho Chi Minh City). Due to its geopolitical and military remarks, An Phu commune was chosen by the resistance forces as a base against the French invasion in the second half of the 19th century and the early 20th century.

Facing the above situation, Nguyen Binh dispatched by the Party Central Committee and President Ho Chi Minh to the South organized the first meeting of military cadres in An Phu commune to establish the Southern Liberation Army, command unification, forces organization and division of operation areas.
